Gugu's Heart Song in the Enchanted Forest
1 / 4 The Vanished Voice
Gugu slowly opened his round, black eyes. The morning sun tickled his soft, blue skin. He lay comfortably in the moss of the enchanted forest. His pink cheeks glowed brightly. Gugu felt wonderful. He wanted to greet the day with his favorite song.
Gugu took a deep breath. . He opened his mouth. He wanted to sing. But there was nothing. No sound. Not a single noise came out.
Gugu was startled. He put his tentacles to his mouth. "What happened?" he thought. He tried again. He really tried hard. But he remained completely silent. His glittering purple underside flickered nervously in the light.
Suddenly, he heard a soft weeping behind a large fern. . A small elf sat there. She held a flower in her hands. The flower had drooped its head. It was gray and colorless.
"Oh no," sobbed the elf. "My flower just won't bloom. It needs a magic song, but I don't know one. Can you help me?"
Gugu wanted to answer immediately. He wanted to say, "I'd be happy to help you!" But no word left his lips. He wiggled his tentacles very firmly. He always did that when he was thinking hard.
He went to the elf and gently stroked her arm. He couldn't speak, but he wanted to offer her comfort. The elf dried her tears. "You're a good listener," she said softly.
At that moment, something shone from under a stone. Gugu lifted it. Beneath it lay a golden leaf. On the leaf was a message: "The heart of the forest sleeps deeply. Only through acts of love will it awaken."
Gugu now knew what he had to do. He wanted to be brave. He would find the heart of the forest. Maybe his voice would come back then.

2 / 4 A Silent Friend
Gugu wandered deeper into the enchanted forest. The trees here were very tall and old. Suddenly, he heard a sound in the bushes. . Something was struggling under a huge, brown leaf.
A small beetle was stuck there. The leaf was much too heavy for him. He wildly paddled his legs in the air. "Help!" cried the beetle with a very thin voice. "I can't get out of here! It's so heavy and dark!"
Gugu immediately ran to him. He wanted to say, "Don't worry, I'm here!" But no sound came from his mouth. Gugu wiggled his tentacles very firmly. He always did that when he was thinking hard.
Gugu pushed his soft, blue arms under the heavy leaf. He pressed very hard. . With great strength, he lifted the leaf. The beetle quickly crawled out into the open. He trembled a little from fright.
Gugu looked at the small beetle. He felt that his new friend was still scared. Very carefully, Gugu took the beetle in his arms. He gave him a long, soft hug. His pink cheeks glowed brightly as he did so.
The beetle calmed down in Gugu's arms. "Thank you, dear octopus," he said softly. "You saved me. You are truly brave." The beetle searched briefly in the moss. He pulled out a small, blue stone. The stone sparkled like a star.
"Here, this is for you," said the beetle proudly. Gugu accepted the gift. He was very happy. His purple underside glittered beautifully in the sunlight.
"I don't need any words at all," Gugu thought happily. "Helping is like a song without notes." He put the stone away and bravely continued.

3 / 4 The Gate of Light
Gugu continued to wander. It became very dark in the forest. The little octopus was a little afraid of the darkness. He wiggled his tentacles firmly. That helped him think.
Suddenly, he saw a giant stone gate. It was the entrance to the Heart of the Forest. A tiny bird sat in front of the gate. The poor bird trembled all over. .
"Brrr, it's so bitterly cold," chirped the little bird softly. "I'm so cold. I can't guard the gate."
Gugu wanted to help immediately. He wanted to say, "I'll warm you up!" But no word came from his mouth. Gugu still knew what to do. He carefully lay down on the ground. He rolled onto his back a little.
Then his purple underside lit up brightly. ✨ The magical glitter shone like a small sun. It immediately became warm in front of the gate.
"Oh! What a beautiful light!" exclaimed the bird in amazement. "It's so wonderfully warm."
Gugu gently took the little bird in his arms. He gave him a firm, plush hug. His pink cheeks glowed brightly as he did so. He held the bird very tightly against his soft, blue skin.
"You are so soft and kind," said the bird happily. "Thank you for the hug. My heart is completely warm now."
At that moment, a miracle happened. . The large stone gate began to glow. It swung open all by itself.
"Look!" cried the bird excitedly. "The gate is opening! Your love has cleared the way."
Gugu smiled. He didn't need words. His deed was much more beautiful than any song. Bravely, he hopped through the bright gate.

4 / 4 The Song of Hearts
Gugu stood in a bright garden. In the center, a golden flower bloomed. This was the Heart of the Forest. A warm beam of light hit Gugu directly on his chest.
Gugu carefully opened his mouth. "Hello?" he said very softly. "I can speak again! Hooray!"
Gugu was very happy. He wiggled his tentacles firmly. He always did that when he was thinking hard. He now knew something very important. Words are beautiful. But helping is much more beautiful. His deeds had saved the forest.
Suddenly, his new friends came running. The elf, the beetle, and the little bird were there. "You awakened the Heart!" cried the elf happily. All the animals celebrated a big feast. There were sweet berries and clear water for everyone.
Gugu wanted to sing for his friends. He cleared his throat briefly. Then he sang his new heart song:
"We are friends, big and small. No one has to be sad anymore. Helping makes the heart feel warm. Come, I'll take you in my arms!"
The animals applauded. Gugu felt wonderful. He had found new friends.
Evening fell in the enchanted forest. Gugu was tired from the great adventure. He looked for a soft bed of green moss. He snuggled deep into it. "I'm not alone," he whispered happily. Gugu closed his round, black eyes. He felt safe and loved.
