1. Strictly Moderated AI Prompts (Pre-Generation)
When you select a theme like “Dinosaurs” in the app, this wish is not passed on to the AI unfiltered. The system packages your input into a rigid pedagogical rule corset. The AI receives strict system commands:
- “You are writing for a 5-year-old child.”
- “There must be no violence, no weapons, and no malicious entities.”
- “Conflicts must be solved through logic, friendship, or empathy, never through combat.”
2. The Gugu Age-Scaling
A 3-year-old needs a different security level than a 10-year-old. The app seamlessly adjusts the tone and suspense curve: For the age group 2-4 years (The Dreamers), the AI removes all antagonistic concepts. If there is a problem, it's about lost objects or misunderstandings – never about real threats. Only from 12+ years (The Visionaries) are deeper moral dilemmas allowed, but they remain strictly pedagogically moderated.
3. No Ads, No In-App Purchases, No Data Selling (GDPR)
While many supposedly free children's apps are stuffed with ad trackers that secretly send usage profiles of the youngest to third parties, Gugu is an ad-free zone. The generated stories and your child's profile remain encrypted on our system and are never misused for tracking.
4. Full Control (The Parental PIN)
To prevent accidental purchases or unmoderated AI queries, all settings areas, subscription details, and profile metadata are hidden behind a secure parental PIN. Your child can navigate freely through their audio bedtime stories in the app without drifting into dangerous areas.
